Kyosho ULTIMA PRO XL #1 vintage racer build

ULTIMA PRO XL build making ready for Castle Hill's 5 hour vintage endurance race meeting.
With a special thanks to Paul @ BEZERK and John @ JC Racing I am rebuilding this old racer once again fortifying it for extended run times in the heat of battle out on the track.

This is an awesome video, and a cool looking car. Also, awesome what you're doing to improve it. Please do a video with some racing action shots just for a visual, with a voice over explaining the race format for these endurance races.... how exactly does that work running 5hrs...? Multiple drivers? Cool downs ? Is it teams and would that be multiple racers/drivers, or multiple buggies...? Very intriguing idea doing a long endurance race... inwish we had tracks that weren't quite so brutal, it would be hard to run ANY 10th scale on tracks here, for even 1hr, without some breakage...

I've heard about this CA glue to carbon parts thing but never tried it as me and glue don't go together to well lol, I usually glue something I don't mean to(fingers🤣) when doing my tyre's, should probably get some CA remover solution 🤔. I do like the way you spin the car and take a wheel off on each rotation. Well time to watch part 2 lol.👍👍

This audio is the best of the videos I have watched... the talking in the entire video is nice and about the right level compared to the intro... this video, intro and content, seems to be a bit of a step up from the others in volume... I can hear you clearly even turned down some from full...if I can hear ya, most anybody should be able to, I don't have the best of hearing I think.

Great video, I can't wait for part 2! I recently put together an Ultima for our local vintage buggy class. I used an Ultima rere and a spare Ultima pro chassis I had sitting in a box. So far the car runs great but I have only ran one race with it and i did run into traction rolling issues. That being said I'm fairly positive the traction rolling issues are due to me sharing the wheels from my rb7 which make the rear of the car more narrow. Once I have a moment I'd like to try and use the cvd's from a zx6/7 and thicker wheel hexes to correct the issue
