I can’t believe these exist right now. Insanity. Thought I would never see the day. Awesome.

I am a researcher and experimentor and i absolutely love the technology on this bike!

there’s a company called gbatteries that can fast charge off the shelf lithium batteries in under ten minutes (approximately 15 years of successful testing completed), even larger batteries such as those that are in electric vehicles.

it would be awesome if this motorcycle company could team up with gbatteries or make their own version of this low resistance fast charging system.

this dirt bike is amazing!

Well, let's hope this is the beginning of a new future dirt bike development. Honestly, only the beginning for now.

honestly its great that they've given you the option for a hand brake and a foot brake because it can bring back riders who have been paralyzed to ride again and not worry about shifting or braking

The hand brake makes it so much better

this company is absolutely next level!

i would love if this company made a micro mobility enclosed aerodynamic, micro city vehicle for city travels, because i love the way this company approaches every detail of design!

I have the Alpha 80hp model and still have my CR500 and the Alpha is faster in very way and more controllable. Changing the gear oil is supper fast. Incredibly Fun bike I ever have owned in my life riding all over the US and Canada. You can put it in 10hp mode and my little 16yo sister can ride it when we went camping and on one trail deer didn't care she was riding right next to them out in the woods. I'm 6'2" or 188cm 220lbs with gear on and it's a rocket on the track.

People complain about the price…..why pay 11-12k for a 4 smoke rattle box. I am Sick maintenance….been dealing with rebuilding and keeping up with my bikes my entire life…..with my son racing now this is the perfect option for me to be able to rip around with him and not have a 4th bike to maintain….

I like a lot about the SV, the different power settings, from 10hp to 80hp, the never do a top end rebuild, the never buy gas or oil, and mix it, all the savings on maintenance, no muffler to replace with a better one, and on and on, all that is great.

But I do have a couple big problems, the riding time on a charge, and the charging times. I saw a range test where a top mx rider rode one on an mx track pretty hard at 60hp and it went from 100% charge to 10% charge in 1 hour. Then it took 2.5 hours to charge it back up to 100%, which is way too long for me. If they can get that charge time from 10% to 100% in 30 minutes, that would be ok with me.

I just can not see riding it for 1 hour, then waiting 2.5 hours to ride it again for 1 hour, you would be sitting at your truck all day just to get 2 hours riding time, that is ridiculous, and something nobody in these videos do not seem to want to talk about.

One other problem I have is the life of the battery, and the cost to buy a new one. I saw that SV says the battery is good for 500 hours, and then you have to buy a new one, for $7, 000, from SV of course. So you pay $14k for the bike, then every 500 hours you have to drop $7, 000 for a new battery, no thanks.

1) The charging time is way too long.
2) The $7, 000 battery every 500 hours is ridiculous.

If they can ever get the charging time down to 30 minutes to do an 90% charge, and get the new battery down to say $2, 000, they will will have a winning product, until then I just do not see myself buying one.

And one last thing, when you pay $14k for a dirt bike, it's not that big of a deal that they give you a fancy $300 took kit with it. You act like they are giving us a one ounce gold bar for buying the bike, it's just a took kit in a fancy box.

255 pounds is light af for an 80 horse bike. Period. I don’t know of another 80 horse bike that’s lighter. I do know of a bunch of 225+ pound bikes that don’t have KYB suspension. And 40ish horse.

These do look sick and loved the video! Did I see correctly that it used 38% of its battery to ride 14 minutes at the full 80HP? I really want the Varg to be my next bike but battery life like that makes me worry ill regret it 😑

Nice vid! Please tell people that you should NEVER LEAVE YOUR BATTERY CHARGED FOR MORE THAN 1-1.5DAYS. To keep it happy it should be 35-55% when stored for more than a day or two.

Otherwise the inner resistance of the battery will start to go up and performance/range will be lost. So wierd that all rc toys have storagemode on almost every charger these days but no ebikes have it.

Love the gray. I might put on a few orange accent bolts & grips, but that's about it. Nice~
And I agree about giving it a chance- only hitch being the $17K entry ticket : (

its really cool. I'm sure they thought about what happens if you crash and that phone cradle get damaged while you are far from the truck. Would the bike be a brick. Or during a very muddy race I am sure the bike is sealed but you need a secondary place to keep that phone. Best electric bike I have seen though
