I lived in 3 different states and lived in Puerto Rico for a few years, i have NEVER lived in a place where the electricity goes off as often as in Houston. Its RIDICULOUS. You can bet that my lights will turn off at least once a month. Im embarrassed for Texas.

They certainly don't need anymore money. This is not a money problem it's a don't give a damn problem.

What is not adequate, is the infrastructure. It is old and insufficient

The governor is making a utility provider become an emergency management company. This is another Tax. Yes we we now be paying more energy cost to provide services mandated by government

Ol'ironside got a 27 billion-dollar 'rainy-day' fund. Why not help to strengthen infrastructure of Texas Grid? He's all hat & no cattle!

This should be for all power companies and cooperatives. They all do the same wait for the storm so companies make more money and let the government pay for it which is the people . And the people who have these companies are left in the dark. And yes I am talking about from experience.

This wouldnt be a problem if Texas would just join the national grid.

Mayors, Governor, and all people and Institutions working for US ThE PEOPLE, you need to do your job by protecting our communities.
Is ashamed to see piles and piles of trees on the streets, not only from the recent storm, but from before.
What do you need to do the job?
Is it money, machinery, workers?

If Abbott can't secure the border how can he tell an energy company how to do anything?

You have trees that have been here through decades of storms. But with trees being uprooted and causing havoc. How do you stop grounds so soaked by all the rain we have gotten. Now the power company's are being told to spend away to try to prevent acts of nature. So get ready to pay more on your bill to pay for it. It's only going to get worse so hold tankful for all the power line crews and the hard work!
