He’s so so right. Dated a psychopath in my late 20s. That was a whole other can of worms, but it helped me realize 1) how most people use others and 2) how I had been using others, without even realizing it. As long as we see other people only on scales of utility, we will cease to see them as human.

My plan was rooted (past tense) to just keep going, and not knowing how to continue with my fellows, thinking I was alone, when I never was. I tried to keep some things inside to not cause harm to anyone else. I made some poor choices, and didn't know whom I could talk to about it, or what I could say. So, I kept it in. I thought I wasn't harming anyone by not speaking on some things I was ashamed of. I didn't realize I was hurting others around me in the process, but I have. I miss my Brothers and Sisters. That's what really matters to me, and that's what hurts the most.

Users don't realise how it affects people, their time, resources. Blind to how people have to go out of their way in order for them to fulfil only their goals
