Spaghetti and meatballs is a true childhood classic that I still crave today. We grew up loving Ragu and my mom would make either meatballs or she would use ground beef with the sauce and wow it was so good ! Nothing like a mother's cooking and love.

Spaghetti with any kind of red sauce is my ultimate favorite food ever since I was a kid. Spaghetti and meatballs is so nice!!!! Loved this my GUY!

Quang Tran taught me to make pho and ban bo hue from scratch, and introduced me to Trinidadian doubles, which is one of the best ways to enjoy chickpeas in my opinion. There’s always recipe gems in his content, so it’s nice to see my version of spaghetti and meatballs is quite similar to his. Enjoy!

Definitely supposed to cook it in the sauce because it helps thicken it. Also, it adds more depth to the pasta because makes the sauce cling to the pasta better. No bites will have no sauce.

Looks good! My family is from Italy, only thing different is, we put the tomato paste after garlic and onions have sautéed for a bit to cook out the “ raw “ taste of the paste. And the meatballs go right into the sauce to cook. We don’t pre fry them but then hey do how you like. The spaghetti and meatball police aren’t out lol

The sauce separate and on top comes from old restaurant practice to prove you were getting new spaghetti, not recycled leftover spaghetti off other's plates. Gross but true. In some places it was the law. Home style was always to mix it up in one big family bowl. By the time you get to eating it, flavors are married.

I make super tiny meatballs.
Used to take forever till I learned the hack. Roll the meat into sausages, the thickness you want, freeze them for 20min... Then just get a knife and cut them to size. No sticky mess at half the time.

It might be heresy, but I like to cook the pasta about 3 minutes early and then finish cooking it in the sauce. The pasta will absorb some of the sauce while it's finishing it's cooking and it just comes out tastier in my opinion.

Next time let the tomato paste cook in oil ( Pinçage)with garlic and onion before you add the canned tomatoes. TRUST ME!
