I love watching anything with Grace Kelly in it - movies or documentaries. She was stunningly beautiful, stylish, graceful, elegant and a very talented actress. Her kindness, warmth and love seemed to radiate from within her. She did a lot of good work for Monaco, founding the Princess Grace Foundation in 1964 to support local artisans and established AMADE Mondiale, a non-profit organization for children's rights, revitalized the Monte Carlo Ballet, established the Monaco Garden Club to promote flower arranging, she supported the preservation of the principality's remaining Belle Époque architecture, she assumed the Presidency of the Monaco Red Cross and transformed it into one of the most philanthropic branches globally and was dedicated to many other humanitarian causes. I always feel so sad that her life ended the way it did. She had so much more to contribute and the world lost a very special person way too soon.

My mother and aunt attended school with Grace Kelly in the late 1930's in Philadelphia. My grandmother had a program from a school Christmas pageant where she played the Virgin Mary.

Grace Kelly’s marriage to Prince Rainier was an extension of her acting career.

This is total bullshit! Rainier was a bounder, a serial cheater. Her children only brought her immeasurable grief and trauma! Grace was unhappy and turned to drink. That’s how it really was.

I felt that Rainier had to marry for his royal image. She fit the bill but was there real love between them?. I am not sure why she married him unless she thought it would be a fairy tale life. She left her acting talents behind which was something she loved. Alfred Hitchcock offered her a role in a movie but she had to turn it down beause her husband wouldn't allow it and it wasn't good for her royal image. I don't think she was very happy in her marriage. She went from being glamorous before marriage to being dowdy. Her children were wild. Her son has had a lot of affairs and a lot of paternity suits. Poor Grace.

Grace Kelly is timeless. If you look at her pictures they don't scream any particular era. Her look would suit any era.

After Grace Kelly died, Dr. James Dobson (of the Christian agency, Focus on the Family) spoke about his recent interview with Grace. Dr. Dobson founded a conservative family support Christian ministry called Focus on the Family which had a radio broadcast for about 30 years, I believe. Grace apparently wanted to unload her sadness and her struggles with her children, because she felt she had not bonded to them sufficiently when they were small. She was called away for society charity functions in Monaco, when she, looking back, knew she should be with her children. So at the time of the interview with Dr. Dobson, her children were teenagers. They were rebellious, especially one particular teen whom I don't want to name (in case this somehow gets back to them) and cause more harm. Grace felt not being with her children for many hours and days as they were growing up, led to the resentment and alienation. She felt she should have taken a stand for her children and faced the demands of Monaco unwaveringly, for her children's sake. Dr. Dobson spoke of the sadness Grace had for her children, feeling she had failed them. I just hope that the children will know - - really, really know, how much their mother loved them. . .and that we ALL make mistakes. . .that we must forgive ourselves, as well as others. . .and that love is the most powerful force in the Universe. . .it never dies - like matter, it can neither be created or destroyed. . .and they will see their mother one day, if they live in love and forgiveness.

Oh my goodness! I had no idea. Affairs with married men, abortion, WOW! So glad she found love but even then she struggled so much, personally and emotionally 😢

Read an in-depth biography of her and watched all her films in the 1950s and she said she would have divorced him but she didn't want to lose her children! I think she was married to another narcissist and she was co-dependent, a huge people pleaser, too trusting, too loyal and too forgiving. She gave up her whole successful career to marry a prince just to please her narcissistic father and her mother and then paid a price in more ways than one...may she rest in peace.

Her children’s nanny brought them up. Grace had to get the nanny back early from the Nanny’s holidays because the children missed the nanny so much.

Reading to orphans all night? Not sure if orphans stay up all night, or how many resided in the tiny principality.

Why would she be reading to orphans until early morning? That makes zero sense.
