a third way of increasing the brush size holding alt, then right clicking in the canvas and dragging the mouse in/out to get the perfect bush size.

I like this method because you doing have to take your hand off of your mouse and you can scale the size quite quickly

For anyone that is confused, I think what's missing is down on the tool bar, click the over lapping squares . One should be white, and the other should be black. Click the white mom and change and black - THEN try doing the process over again ^_^

The easiest way is to create a new layer (it should be selected then) or select an empty layer. then from the tool bar select the fill tool (paint bucket). Choose the color you want (Black) in the foreground color selector. Then click the canvas with the Paint bucket. it should fill the layer with the selected color. if you don't see this happening make sure this layer is visible and above any layers that might block it out.

Your tutorial is absolutely stunning as the title suggested. However, i should have missed the point you turn the background into black. How did you do it ? and without using keyboard shortcuts, how could we do it ?

@ALKONAND Same here too, i was tripping out, but what he was not clear about was that @1:23, you have to change the fore ground colour too to black by pressing D or selecting it, that was the same mistake on the first video too

Your problem is - brush tool setting! Setting panel, Mode must be NORMAL!

watched both videos multiple times for like an hour or so... step by step:( once i get to the black ractangle do the mask and click and nothing happens....

Crap ain't working. Once I get to the brush tool part and click on the rectangle ain't nothing happening.
