I've seen The Night Comes For Us so many times that I've lost count. The INSANE amount of blood, brutality, gore, and gruesomeness (and creativity of the kills) makes the John Wick movies look tamed in comparison. Not that I don't like the JW movies, because it's one of my favorite movie franchises, but TNCFU is on a whole other level when it comes to violence in that particular movie (especially when it comes to extremely violent martial arts movies, and more specifically, when it comes to extremely violent Indonesian martial arts movies).

One SUPER-underrated film, which was extremely similar in terms of action scenes, was Universal Soldier: Regeneration. The action scenes were absolute masterpieces, and nobody saw it 😢

Honorable mention to Hard Boiled which set the standard for shoot out scenes and Atomic Blonde just for the uncut stairwell scene alone.

Shout out to Atomic Blonde, did a great job with the action, Theron being a smaller individual mostly wins off damage per second and using the environment to her advantage, fantastic choreography.

Not the first time that you get movie synopsis very wrong! Nobody was the complete opposite, he was retired from the CIA and knew very well what he was capable of. He was basically the John Wick of the CIA.
