She never said being a man is easy. She said that her life would have gotten easier if she were a boy. There is a difference. It's pretty obvious that women has to go through unnecessary social judgement over most part of their lives. Even to this day they aren't allowed to study as much as they can, has to give so much dowry, doesn't get proper inheritance, are in the fists of her husband and in-laws. Doesn't get support for her career, inordinately burdened in House hold chores. It's not safe outside for women. All these are exclusively women's problems. In this day and age so many women are working but none of these so called traditions changed.
