Autodesk Maya 2018 - Stylized Flower Modeling and Texturing Timelapse

This video shows a timelapse video on how to model a simple Stylized Flower. Autodesk maya was used to model and Substance Painter for texturing. It took about 35 minutes to make the whole thing.

W- move
E- rotate
R- scale
G- repeat last command
q - exit tool
b- soft selection
shift + . - grow selection
alt + b - change background color
f - fit to selection
ctrl + a - open attribute editor/channel box
ctrl + delete - deletes an edge loop( 2014 version and up only)
1 - standard mode
2- subdivision mode with cage
3- subdivision mode
4- wireframe
5 - shaded mode
6- texture mode

I've really been enjoying your speed modeling and have been making some of your models. I thought this one would be easy but I'm stuck on the petals. Can you describe how you extruded the edge, increased the thickness and duplicated it? Did you detach a component first before starting the form the petal? I'm probably missing something really simple, but can't seem to figure it out :-(

I bought your video on creating smart materials. Great stuff. Would love to see more longer videos of you explaining why you are doing the things you are doing. Modeling has become the easy part for me. But substance painter is still a mystery

Now lets get to the main point...i have a challenge for you(i saw someone doing it i thought it would be awesome especially for the content of you channel :P)you have 24 hours to do 100 different assets for a game or an animation(it doesnt matter how big or small are the models)all you have to do is model and texture(and uv ofcourse :))
