Learn some sweet swingin' tricks for transforming objects in Photoshop and working with Type. We will start with nothing and create this cool gear and style it with a cool texture and make is almost look 3D! Then by placing a "floor" underneath the gear shape logo we give the illusion of 3D. This was one of the best tutorials I have ever seen on here. You were awesome. I was able to edit my logo while you were instructing. You are very descriptive so I was able to follow. Thanks Again...

@450904 it merges all layers that you have visible. That means that every layer that has that tiny little eye on the left of it will be merged. In order to 'exclude' certain layers from your merging process, you simply have to click the eye on those layers. The eye should disappear and you're set!

He shows it at 4:35 too.

@layserx I spent some time on that part too. From what I gathered (from knocking my head against the wall...lol) just because something is highlighted doesnt actually mean it is selected for use (yea it didnt make sense to me either) So if they arent showing up you didn't select them. 2) when you move your rectangles dont put your cursor on the squares. The squares change the shape of your rectangle. He is putting his cursor outside the rectangle click & drag.

Very professional and I learned a great deal. Online tutorials are taking tradition class room teaching over.

@MtgAmateur when you open the pattern selection box, you'll see a small arrow like button (a triangle on the side, a play button; whatever you want to call it) on the right side, inside the box that opened. Just click it and then select a pattern set from the lowest section. It should open up a lot more patterns, depending on with one you choose. Just fiddle around with it a bit. Good luck!

Hey, I got around to doing this, took a little bit and it was starting to go downhill because I couldn't find the track picture, but the mask kind of saved it, almost looks like a vignette around it now. I ended up getting a crappy (but similar) picture online. Do you have any recomendations for where to find good pictures online? I just google image searched. Thanks for the tutorial, it was really fun :)
