Gas price gouging law goes into effect in California

California is notorious for its high gas prices, but a new law now in effect has tools to root out price gouging.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law earlier this year after calling out the so-called “Big oil” for fleecing families at the gas pump.

Since the law passed experts said California gas prices have dropped.

If they are so worried about how much people pay at the pump they should also lower the gas tax.

The price gougers are the gas stations. I work at one. They compete 3 stations within 2 miles. .30-.60-.90 difference. Prices changed .10 cents every 2 days.

They need to loosen the restrictions on oil production and refineries. New laws and taxes only chase them away and leads to ever higher prices
