I am one of the After Awakening fans, and I honestly want this remake to sell well. I started playing Blazing Sword and Sacred Stones, and they're amazing games, and much more difficult than Awakening. I hope we can get more remakes.

So judging by all the footage I've seen. I think a little, but amazing detail has been added to give the character models more life in combat. I love how all the characters keep their color pallets when you change their classes, rather than just getting the generic model with their head stuck on it

Whenever, I go to the comments section of an FE Echoes video, I usually see 4 different factions: 1) People saying that this is a step down because "I wantz mah pair-up and S-supports", 2) People who openly voice their disdain and hatred towards the newer games and those who like them as if they were the spawn of the devil, 3) People crying out "UGH THIS SHOULD BE ON THE SWITCH! LET THE 3DS DIE ALREADY!", and 4) People who are overall hyped for this game, regardless of the previous 3. As someone who started with Awakening and Fates, I am excited by the prospect of playing a remake of an older series title (and one that was Japan-exclusive). I've had loads of fun with both Awakening and Fates, from the engaging turn-based combat and gameplay to the variety of characters and support conversations. Heck, I've even gotten my fair And don't even get me started on their phenomenal soundtracks! That said, I am not so ignorant as to ignore the faults and flaws with each game (Awakening's broken Pair Up and reclass systems, the stories for each game, Fates' implementation of child units, etc). But I still got a good amount of enjoyment out of them despite their shortcomings. And because of Fire Emblem Heroes introducing me to characters from across the series' history, I've been set on finding and playing through older titles (heck, I just purchased preowned copies of Blazing Sword and Sacred Stones) and once I'm through with finals (Naga have mercy on my soul T-T), I have every intent on playing those games from beginning to end in this final month before Echoes hits western shelves. To sum it all up, while we may have our varying opinions on this series, its games, and its fans, we should all at least recognize that we are all a apart of this world we call "Fire Emblem".

The mechanics. The music. The entire game voice acted. The beautiful art. I already like nearly everything about this game more than awakening.

I adore the artstyle/presentation of this game. It's definitely still anime-inspired, and the characters look very distinctive and cool/pretty, but it takes a needed (in my opinion) step back from the very fanservice-y art direction of Fates. Plus the character models more realistically proportioned, which looks great. And the animations seem to be at least as flashy and exciting as Radiant Dawn and Fates, which in my eyes are the best-animated 3D games thus far. So hyped to experience it myself.
