downsizing aus den 80ern .... :D echt witzig der gekürze motor auf 2 Zylinder .... heute wieder eine innovation 3 zylinder mit zylinderabschaltung auf 2 ...UARGH !!!! wenn man gewollt hätte wären wir heute mit autos unterwegs die wahrscheinlich 1 liter auf 100 km verbrauch haben.... damals in den 80ern gabs doch den Versuchs-audi der auch nur n paar liter verbraucht hat bei keinerlei einbußen ....

The car only has around 40 hp and offers hardly any insulation or safety-related equipment. When overtaking on country roads, it poses a danger to others because it has no reserves in terms of performance. The stated consumption only came about because the car was moving extremely slowly. Under full load and full throttle it still consumes around 5-7 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. It has no radio or other extras. Personally, I would never use such a vehicle. If it had the weight of a modern small car, the engine would consume as much or even more than a modern car. For comparison: a Suzuki Swift Sport with 140 hp weighs around 1000 kg and only consumes 6.4 liters on average. Precisely because of the low power, you would hardly have any fun driving the Polo in everyday life and would rather hinder traffic if you tried to achieve the specified consumption values. Let's assume it was loaded with 5 people and was also pulling a trailer. I believe the clutch would burn out within 10 minutes.
