With a wide open race in 2016, presidential hopefuls are already setting up shop in the early states of New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina. As prospective candidates hire staff, test policy ideas and begin fundraising, it's becoming clear that we’re in for a wild round of primaries. Will dark horse Democratic candidates like Bernie Sanders be able to draw attention away from early favorite Hillary Clinton? And how will the GOP sift through its long list of candidates to select a competitive general election contender?

Join the IOP as Nate Cohn, The New York Times; McKay Coppins, BuzzFeed News; Jill Lawrence, US News & World Report; and Karen Tumulty, The Washington Post, look at the winding road to the 2016 presidential election. IOP Director David Axelrod will lead this discussion.
