As much as this reminds me of Euphys death, I can't believe nobody had mentioned the time this played in R2 right before the final battle, imo it was just as powerful as it perfectly set up the mood for how messed up the situation had become

The music plus his speech gives me chills every time no matter how many times I rewatch Code Geass.

This is one of my favorite tracks. This song helped set the mood for Euphemia's death, and though that scene almost had me in tears, it is also one of my favorite scenes throughout the entire show. This song has an awesome sense of epic triumph and preparation, mixed with that sad, melancholy sense of what is to come.

Calm is the last thing I feel - I think of Euphie's death and the tragedy not only of it but the necessity to exploit it. I think of the theme of epic triumph that exists throughout the series but the underlying sadness that pervades every step of the way.

So much emotional in this song. Code Geass was special in that even though we didn't see a lot of named character deaths, each one was pretty tough to watch. Euphy, Shirley, Rollo, and of course Lelouch (although I'd like to think he's alive somewhere with CC as an immortal).
