Honestly this movie had such a profound effect on me. It woken me up back then and helped me to not do a lot of terrible things like they did in this film.

There's only one scene where Casper was 100% sober and it was right here.

The end of innocence. Like it even had a beginning anyways. We're all sinners and we choose to do what we want, whenever we want and that's just that.

I'll never forget the first time I saw this movie.

One of the most realistic films of all time from one of the most interesting timelines of all time.

Man, I'm 31 and I never watch movies anymore. Last one I watched was Oppenheimer during a flight to Brazil. This film spoke to me so much. Even though Capser and his friend made bad life choices, they totally lived for the moment. Skating, drinking, smoking, getting laid, saying what's on your mind, not having a care in a world. Now that Justin has passed away and this film is forgotten about as the years go by, it feels like a piece of me has died. Just watching this clip reminds of something I used to love.

I hear Teddy's last words and find myself profoundly depressed at what he believes is truly important to him. There is so much more than that but in his still developing brain that is all he thinks there is. Never mind as the movie implies he is on his way to becoming a super spreader and die young so it won't matter anyway.

Oh fuck man, I remember watching this movie as a kid and thinking that’s exactly what I want to do when I grow up. Do drugs, chill with my homies and have sex everyday. It’s crazy because their passion for living in the moment passed into me and I did exactly what I set out to do. I remember getting into drugs and partying every chance I got. I was just a kid man. It’s crazy what kids without adult supervision will do. Me and my friends got into so many crazy situations and did it again the very next day. I remember I sometimes wouldn’t make it home and I slept in crazy places having no memory of how I got there like laundromat floors, car trunks, outside on random side walks. That all changed when I was fucked up and walking home around 4am on a weekday. I was waiting behind a bush because I knew my dad would see me. He would leave for work at 4am. I remember seeing him go down the apartment steps looking exhausted and tired with life. I can remember his face so vividly and that moment I felt so fucking terrible because he had no clue what shit I was getting into in a daily basis. That moment was when I decided to stop being a kid. But I still wonder how my life would’ve turned out if I never saw my dad that morning.

Whole movie was basically a drug trip and right back to reality in one, tbh.

Casper was the only character I really kind of liked... But in the end, even he has to disappoint us...

The vibes in this film are amazing. Takes me back to my childhood in Chicago when life was filled with wonder, terror, love and hope for a better future.

Growing up on the Lower East Side of NYC, I got to see plenty of movies being filmed.
This one though has to have been my favorite. Just the reality of it, the realness of it's characters has always been my go-to movie when I'm feeling nostalgic and want to show friends what it was like to grow up in the city.. I Miss the Grit of Old NY, especially the Lower East Side 😊.
Great Memories and a Great Movie !!!

what makes this even sadder is a couple of the actors Harold Hunter and Justin Pierce died some years after the film justin in 2000 and harold in 2006 rip to them man
this film was also great and really shows how this stuff can ruin your life it feels like even then tho its still at an all time high even tho this film was made in 1995 its still a very relevent film today
