Excellent that kissin has moved on to composing his own music again, I love watching him play chopin, liszt etc but the man is a musical and technical god, it would be a shame if he didn't leave us with something.

Simply incredible. Nikolai Kapustin gives an interesting view of jazz through the lens of the Russian classical tradition - here, Kissin applies a similar treatment to the tango! And with such a sense of humor as well - definitely a strong Prokofiev influence. Will be purchasing the score, and I'm looking forward to more originals from Kissin! :)

Very nice piece! Russian composers are interested in Tango since Stravinsky, Shostakovich, and Schnittke! Interested if Kissin's fame as an instrumentist will help or hinder his compositional career.
