Get Started With Excel TEXTJOIN Function

In Excel for Office 365, or Excel 2019 and later versions, you can use the TEXTJOIN function to combine text from multiple ranges, quickly and easily.

This is much better than the old methods of combining text with the CONCATENATE function, or the ampersand operator.

In this video, see how to us the new TEXTJOIN function to quickly combine the weekday names from 5 cells. The day names are separated by commas.

Then, see how to add formatting to the combined values, when joining a list of dates with the TEXTJOIN function. Without that formatting, the list shows numbers, instead of easy-to-read dates.

Thanks for the video Debra. I'm trying to use Textjoin with filters to select items from a list with multiple delimiters (a) a line break using char(10) and (b) a dynamic count of the items being joined. Is this possible?

TEXTJOIN function does wonder when use with Dynamic Array functionalities (like while using TRANSPOSE function) and if we want resultant data in one cell instead of spilling into multiple cells.
