Absolutely livid that USN dreadnoughts in their interwar/WWII refits only get WW1 era shells not to mention intentionally horrible reload speeds based on bad sourcing.

The shells that Texas, Nevada & Arizona use in-game wouldn’t have fit in the guns by the 1930s! Not to mention the shell they’d all use are Mark 14 AP and a HC shell, Mark 14 AP has been in game since Arizona was added but was removed mysteriously right before it was added to the main game.

I regularly visit Galveston, and every time I go downtown I love looking across the water to see the dry dock with USS Texas in it. Such a beautiful ship

The USS Texas is not only one of the Last Dreadnoughts, she's one of the last Super Dreadnoughts (the New York Class ships). The fact this legendary ship survived both WWI and ALL 5 THEATRES of WWII is amazing.

Fun Fact. During D-Day, USS Texas would bombard the enemy forces of Normandy for over half an hour, until it ran out of ammunition. Once it came back with more ammunition, enemy forces were pushed far back inland that the guns couldn't reach them. So, the captain had a brilliant idea, and he ordered the crew to move the USS Texas from 12, 000 yards to 3, 000 yards, the closest the ship could go without beaching. Once it reached 3, 000 yards, the captain ordered all of the starboard side blister tanks to be flooded, tilting the ship. Once the ship was tilted, the USS Texas began bombarding the enemy forces once again. Luckily, once the battle was done, the blister tanks would be emptied of water & repaired so that it could continue aiding allies for the rest of WWII.

Doesn't matter if it's the 14"/45 or the 14"/50, as long as it's in those mounts, they are determined to make it suffer in-game. Should realistically be capable of at least 2RPM aced. That's of course without loading protocol violations, as Gaijin doesn't tend to like those (no cueballing on the USN 8" for example).

I feel like they took of water penetration mechanic, now you can’t shoot 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 meters under water line. The results of that very hard to get enemy ammoracks

For Film History of the ship appeared in Michael Bay film Pearl harbor though the ship was not there at pearl but her parts does represent to some of the Pearl harbor Battleships use to have.
Texas appeared as Flags of our Fathers as a set for secondary and AA guns shots and background shots

on the topic of HE vs AP on cruisers: i've been almost exclusively using AP against everything, sometimes even destroyers, since it can easily detonate the magazines :D
especially against the american cruisers which seem to take almost zero HE dmg
Edit: maybe thats a Scharnhorst thing tho, i think the germans have relatively weak HE

From an historical point of view, USS Texas is a great addition but gameplay wise it's almost useless. Nevada and Arizona were already enough in the 14inch category.
The ressource put on Texas could have gone for British Italian or French Navy. Or else the 16 inch BB.
That reminds me of the waste of ressource in Japan ship tree with almost 3 time the same BB ( Fuso, Hyuga, Ise).

USS Texas in game actually her 1920's to early 1944 as she still has the catapult on turret 3. It was deleted prior to D-Day.

I love Fargo, and its fast firing 6" guns more I think. I've just unlocked Texas. it's nice. I've been using the AA to light up destroyers and crusiers especially for the challenge currently on. I'm lucky I have a rank 63 crew.

On the topic of dispersion, are you aware if the game models that accurately? Like, if I fire single shots from a turret that has guns tightly put together like on Zara, does that impact dispersion positively?

Me: *sees a battleship with 2 gun in the front and 2 more in the back*
That’s a nice battleship
*sees a fifth main gun in the middle*
Me: UNOPPOSED UNDER THE CRIMSON SKIES IMMORTALIZED OVER TIME THE LEGEND WILL RISE! AND THEIR FOES CANT BELIEVE THEIR EYES! BELIEVE THEIR SIZES AS THEY FALL!!
AND THE DREADNOUGHTS DREAD NOTHING AT

Did anyone have problem with guns not traversing and moving for quite some times, look's like a bug and quite annoying when you have to fight 3 destroyer at once
