If my memory is good, the one-way Metro ticket Airport<>Athens City center was 9€ in September 2022 (trains all the 30 minutes, 50 minute traject).
There is also a Airport bus line bus costing about 5€ (1 hour traject without traffic).

There is a cheaper way to the airport from the city center:
Instead of buying the 9 Euro Metro Airport ticket buy the regular one for 1.2 Euros and get off in Koropi (the station before the airport). From there you can take a local bus ( NOT the blue but the orange one called KTEL) which brings you directly to the airport for about 1.6 Euros (I don't remember the exact amount, maybe it is 10 or 20 cents more). You can buy the ticket in the bus. Careful in Koropi not to take the wrong bus, i.e. the one who comes from the airport as it is not very clear. Better ask! Also this orange bus drives only every one hour or so and even then it can be 10-15 min late or even early. So be sure to have enough time in order not to lose your flight.
Better to use it when ariving. The bus stop is after exiting the airport across the street next to the airport‐Hotel. Again be sure to take it to the correct destination (Koropi Station)
