60 second shorts don't really allow me to show a FULL, UNCUT ostomy change! There is a bit more that goes into it, so if you're interested, watch the "related video" to see a full change from beginning to end.

Hi, I'm Maggie and I have Crohn's disease. I am thrilled to be here sharing my personal experiences with Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as living with an ostomy. I'm proud to share a little bit from a clinical experience as well, having worked as a GI pediatric nurse and ostomy telehealth nurse. I am so glad you are here. ♥ #ibd #crohnsdisease #ostomy

Thank you for doing that. I still can believe that an unplanned pre work bag change makes me late for work as it takes 15-20 mins! Learn not to stick the bag on too soon before the skin protector was dry fairly quickly!

the worst is realizing right before you have to leave or right before you hop in bed for some sleep that you need to get back up and change your bag. Even worse if it’s during the day and active. Literally just standing there for 30 min waiting and hoping it at least applies nicely at the end of it all

My 36 year old wife has ulcerative colitis. She lost her colon 7 years ago. The biggest problem with her ostomy is the burning skin around the stoma

Thank you for sharing this video maggie. I agree, slbeit youtube time limits, it does take more than a minute to change an ostomy, . If my ostomy is slow, i can change it in less than 10 minutes?
