Hurricane Milton makes landfall in Florida

Milton, which fluctuated in intensity as it approached Florida, was a category 3 hurricane as it made landfall. 'It will continue to move across central Florida throughout the night and into the early morning hours,' said Florida governor Ron DeSantis.

It was feared that it will make the landfall as a category 5. So the news that it's weakening to category 3 is actually great, despite the devastation it will no doubt cause. It could have been much, much worse.
