This piece is dedicated in loving memory to Nicholas Alvarado, a dear friend who left us so suddenly this year.

It takes 10 months for the playa to recover from this event every year. It’s so sickening to see what this place looks like when everyone starts leaving. They say it is a leave no trace event, but the truth is a cleaning crews spend weeks cleaning after everyone has left. The animals have mostly been scared off as well from this area for miles.. good job hippies.
