There's no reason a turbo should be easily failing these days. The technology has been around for decades. One of the biggest enemies of turbos is revving them before oil psi comes up. 100, 000 rpm will burn out bearings instantly.

How about changing the oil, it may last longer

Its sad that they put such tiny displacement over complicated engines in these trucks. They are meant for work and they are built luke cheap shopping utility vehicles. Disposable crap.
I'll keep my 01 silverado 4.8 running till I die at this rate.

You ever get the feeling they might have been enjoying the Turbo way too much, all the time everyday? But if you build 150, 000+ turbo engines a few turbos are bound to fail.

I am driving one as a loner from the dealer and it runs good has good power but definitely keeping my 21 Silverado with the 3.0

Not turbo failure it’s the transmission control module shifts into overdrive

Maybe if you had not installed that tune. It would still be running.

If that car is not professionally raced and maintain. There's absolutely no point to have a turbo. Just buy a bigger engine.
