Lipedema is a rather common, yet often painful disorder that affects the accumulation of fat cells in the body. While fat cells, otherwise referred to as adipose tissue, are an important feature in providing the human body with both cushioning and insulation. Lipedema causes the excessive congregation of these cells, particularly around the legs. Sometimes, spreading occurs in the torso, and in many cases, excessive clustering of fat cells is noticed in the arms as well. It’s estimated that arms are affected in nearly 80% of Lipedema cases reported.

I have this, what kind of dr do i need to see? I've thought for decades i just had fat legs.... i do have also the slight thing on the wrist.
My regular dr dosen't take me serious when i try to talk about it.

I’m sure I have Lipidema, i have the cuffing at my wrists, upper arms, thighs and it’s traveling down my legs. I brought my Dr a brochure and she laughed and said that’s fat. 😕

I have gone from size 22 down to 16.but still have the globuals in my legs around the knee and uper thighs and arms.

Do you do videos consolations...I have the arm and wrist cuff going on and knee My doctor doesnt believe i have it bad enough.or not at all...im in Alberta Canada ..also is there a Rx to help while waiting to see you ..?

What about lipoma. Normal size woman here. Had a huge lipoma with plastic surgery because of it's size. Now it is growing on my back where it was on my upper arm. Only now it hurts. Can this turn cancerous?
