Theme from Jurassic Park - Musescore 4

As soon as Musescore 4 came out, I started working on copying over this masterpiece by John Williams, "Theme from Jurassic Park". I wanted to see how realistic the orchestral sounds (Muse Sounds) are in Musescore 4... It's amazing!!

The main thing that I found a bit strange was what happens between measures 46 and 47... For some reason, that transition is very weird, at least from the audio perspective.

Other than that, Muse Sounds with Musescore 4 are amazing!!

I'm not kidding when I say this... my school's orchestra is actually playing this. we are missing a few parts, but I didn't think we were good enough for this

The trumpets still need work in MuseScore 4. But I'm often amazed at just how good the french horn sounds

I was so damn annoyed - I got my first composition commission for an orchestra and had nothing else than musescore 3, bc it also would've taken too long to learn a different program until deadline. MuseScore 3 was so old that I wasn't able to get a nice format of the score, bad sound recordings, unbelievable hard function-management. Right after the concert MuseScore 4 arrived, completely reworked, a sound which reaches modern orchestral libraries in quality and realism - completely free. Man, I was really insulted :D
MuseScore 4 is absolutely fire, as well as your arrangement, great job!

Does anyone else get frustrated by the slightly too fast main string/flute part at 1:00ish onwards? It's played with a much nicer cadence and slower tempo in the film but every live performance or other recording I've seen almost seems to rush through this bit like they just want it done. But it's actually the part where you can really feel the majesty of the animals

at 4:19 I wish the lower notes in the harp could project that well 🤭 that would change the game for us soo much and like oml having a boomy lower notes/chords would be dope af

but irl that part is absolutely drowned out by everyone else 😪 we have such a big instrument yet our sound projection sucks ahh

I love the new sounds! I do get frustrated with the levels though. The instruments that are a little too loud are the flute and piccolo (especially when they play really high). And the instrument that isn't loud enough is the trumpet.

Impressive! I've been using Musescore for years now. Because of NotePerformer I have bought Dorico Pro and Note Performer 3. But had no time to start using it yet. Maybe I will never do it 😅, with the realease of this amazing Muse Sounds.

i feel like theres better in free soundfonts for realism, namingly SGM v2.01 or GeneralUser which just released their 2.0 so play around with those because those are by far my favorite of any ive seen

How to add two sounds in one track? For example two horns in one track?

I still prefer dedicated sample libraries within a DAW. However, the progress of Musescore is coming along nicely.

Ok... so I downloaded this and all the new sounds but the harp still sounds like garbage. Can anyone help where to find the new sounds?
