FREE HUGS! Blind Trust Experiment in London

Just before leaving to go traveling, I did a free hugs experiment event in Trafalgar Square, London, England. This was a blind trust experiment and I had to open my heart and let go of fear to give love to those who came to hug me.

Standing there waiting for the first hug felt like forever, but then the hugs started coming. There were hugs from all ages, genders, sizes, economic classes, none of this mattered hence the blindfold. None of these attributes has anything to do with who we really are.

I wanted to offer love openly to anyone who was open to receive it, and I was open to receiving their's freely too. The beauty is that I am naked to the world, I cannot see, and I have to surrender to other people, I don't know what's going on around me so trust is so important.

Overall I would say the blind trust experiment was a huge success and a beautiful one at that. I was able to surrender to love and offer that option to others too.

The amount of men stepping forward to give a hug amazes me. I feel like men normally never give or get hugs by other guys as often as girls but it warms my heart seeing all these people even if some are just for laughs. Hugs are very much needed in the world even by a stranger. You never know who needs one.

Once when I was in college I was walking home around 10 at night and crying really hard. A highschool boy stopped and asked if I was in trouble and if I needed help, I told him I wasn't in danger just upset. He then asked if I needed a hug, I said okay and he gave me the sweetest hug. This was 8 years ago and I will never forget what that hug from a stranger did for me.

It's heartbreaking how the elderly woman was crying. So many older people are hella lonely it's really depressing to think about.
