Bill and Melinda Gates: Our 2016 Annual Letter

This year Bill and Melinda Gates wrote their Annual Letter about two issues that will make a huge difference for the world's poorest people: energy and time.

Here's a great man. Infinitely successful businessman, innovator, philanthropist. Oh, and his wife.

Clean Energy:
1. The majority of world's people live in coastal areas (oceans, lakes etc) and only 10% live more than 10 km form fresh water.
2. Water is very heavy.
3. Nature moves trillions +++ of gallons per second UP and down all day, every day, all around the globe via tides, surf and swells.

* This is A LOT of FREE, TOTALLY CLEAN and UNLIMITED energy and easy to convert into many usable forms of energy ie:

1. Split into Hydrogen but that is the very worse idea of all because it takes energy to do it and if the entire world did this, well U C
2. Generate electricity right there, on location (like at a city beach) or better yet at a remote location (out of sight and out of mind)
3. Use the free "surf energy" to pump free water uphill to a hydro dam to become stored energy until it is needed. A water battery.
(Don't forget to use the vacuum stroke of any pumping / hydro system for that is 50% of the FREE energy that many would miss).
4. Generate compressed air (which can also be stored and even trucked or piped anywhere. Remember the vacuum too.

Well, you get it I am sure. That is just a short doable list.

* Most importantly, solutions create new problems (which should be found, reviewed and solved in advance) BUT it is always the UNFORESEEN problem/s that really bite you ie: Would the car and airplane have been invented if the inventors got a look at the unforeseen problems they would personally be causing around the world from massive pollution (air, land, seas and ALL of the food and people thereof), making ALL of us and ALL of our children very ill and even killing us AND how about all of those wars over oil etc and using these two machines to rain down death on innocent women and children worldwide (collateral damage etc) ??? Would the inventors have opted out of having that on their souls?

*** The true meaning of life is very simple:
Leave this world better off and safer for the next generation, for they are ALL of OUR children.

* Foremost, always remember to look for and expect the unforeseen problems and major consequences thereof.
Be ever vigilant and ready for them and thus able to find solutions before they reach critical mass, the point of no return.
Common sense warning: Foresight to prevent a war or any critical problem (even seconds before war or massive destruction) is always far better than winning any war... USMC Vietnam Vet's 2 cents. I hate war and murder to the max.

Mr. Gates I don't know if this will every reach you, but if it dose, i would strongly like to urge you to enter to the presidential race, not for your Business practices, nor for your environmental standpoint which both would improve this country out look but most importantly your intuition an insight in to the current geo political situation would bring a great relief to not only my self but the Country as a whole. I would recommend that, in the future, "unpaid labor" should be defined outright in this context. The unpaid labor of maybe child raising and definitely chore doing is to be expected in a household with more than just capable adults, whether the additional people are children, grandparents, e.t.c. The problem people see is that women by stereotype are the ones with the role of chore manager while men are by stereotype the ones with the role of job with income, when people claim that such work should conceivably be common for both genders across the general populace.

Well, that is the vision that developed countries have seen in thirld world countries, and its acceptable, but taking as an example the literature nobel prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez (when he won the prize), it is not the fact that poor people is losing because energy or time, it is the social reality where they live, the daily struggle, i dont care if my opinion doesnt matter (its the internet i know :D), but as a third world country citizen (yes citizen) i think that other points of view, maybe the most important ones are the ones that lead into the reality (violence, economy, politics, etc).


We have tiny similar problems as big different solutions keep the good work.

What I would love for Bill and Melinda to do is, go to Afghanistan or give me the option to go visit my birth nation.  I know the struggles of the middle east,   The unemployment, the poverty, the disability that war has caused, and the authoritarian government, which I still face in the United States.
