A major cleanup effort is underway in Southern California following Hilary, the first tropical storm to hit the region in nearly a century. Crews have been working around the clock digging up vehicles buried in mud and working to restore power and assess damage. CBS News' Carter Evans reports from hard-hit San Bernardino County.

Take it from a Katrina survivor, the worst comes from trying to get the government to help you. Some will have insurance, but will be told they can't pay, because flooding is not included in their policy.

That red barn has been vacant and not a restaurant for decades. The owner and neighbors all knew for years what could happen as floods have happen before as that property sits right at the drainage. It should have been torn down decades ago.
