This makes so much sense, when I sometimes (now very rarely) get this it’s also itchy and just doesn’t go away with lotion. Benzoyl peroxide would make it worse by drying it out more, salicylic acid does a good job for me

I use ZnP (zinc pyrithione) soap or Vanicream’s dandruff shampoo for this. It also helps with the “demodex” dance (itchy) face at night for my rosacea.

I finally went to the dermatologist a few days ago and was diagnosed with this and rosacea.

Nizoral dandruff shampoo will clear that up. Just apply it to the dry areas. Works like a charm 🫶

I've had hypopigmentation after treating seborrheic dermatitis with ketoconazole, but the color never fully returned, and it's been almost 3 years. Now, I have discoloration on my face, especially around my sideburns.

Well I have this not that often but when I do I 100 percent know it’s not oily skin condition … accutane sucked all the oil out of my skin for me it’s probably when I put a little to much tret on before bed :)
