Wow! How perfect for me to find this today! Yesterday my daughter and her 2 girls were visiting! My daughter was frazzled because of traffic, her girls are high energy so my reactive, fearful girl Roxy seemed to be doing all the wrong things I asked her to go into time out, not in and angry voice, so she did but then she barked at me so much I had to walk away. My emotions got the best of me and I told Roxy to shut up, not yelling but not calmly either
Later on I told my husband Roxy was acting like a jerk which I never did before
Thank you for this information I need to make sure I get my thoughts, beliefs, and emotions under control

Love this! My dog is easily startled, so from that I saw her as a scared dog. She’s tough, energetic and full of life! I changed my thoughts and I see the courage in her and encourage it! She loves the praise!

No matter what I think, my dog IS stubborn and slow - sort of "Wait and see'", "Let's see whether I can't decide where we go next", "I'm finished training". Nevertheless, beliefs do influence behavior! Thank you for your videos!

Having trouble with my dog, never have had a dog that seemed so growly and unhappy so easily. Trying to get what she sees and understand that she is not just a “cranky” dogs, but maybe she just needs a lot more “buy in.”

I love my dog; but he is really slow at learning. And I mean REALLY slow. He is a Whippet and at the complete opposite end of the spectrum to a Border Collie when it comes to learning. It took him 2 months to learn down; that is using his fav food and toys (aka as a game) multiple times a day.
I really love him, but he is not smart. We have been working on "Paw" for a month now and he still has not worked out to even shuffle his feet yet.
I know when he gets it he will understand it well and it will be reliable.

Whippets are naturally hard to motivate as they are not bred to work with/for humans and so they are only going to do something on their own terms...Like a cat. But I love him and he is honestly one of the best beings in my life. I couldn't be without him....Although would be nice if he didn't kick me in the face at night. hehe

Good morning
I totally believe what you’re saying, and do tell my dog every day he’s wonderful, and perfect, and can do anything but I do have a question

If you have a dog that you believe is genetically hyper and over aroused and you’ve had this dog since eight weeks old and the dog has been like this since eight weeks old, do you think this dog can change if that’s the word I want to use with this method you’re speaking about
Thank you

Have I relayed this quote from the author Richard Bach (from his book 'Illusions')? "Argue for your limitations and, sure enough, they're yours." 🤔 😑😏
