Living in Germany and working in the industrial sector I would say Germany is doing everything to avoid being officially in recession. But reality speaks for itself. The only reason the mainstream media is not looking deeper into the issue is probably pressure from the government and the fact that the German stockmartket is at all time high. The downfall will be catastrophic. That's what you get when you have a childrens book writter as your minister of production

Germany has minimal chance to find any inexpensive energy sources, nothing can be done to reduce costs of living and the cost of doing business. The political environment doesn't look cooperative yet. All, or most of the conditions for falling into recession or even depression if trends will remain in place.
