YAY!!! I totally own a 400D since it was released and still use it today

D40 is best for studio shoot because it is the ONLY camera that can sync to flash/strobe units up to 1/500 shutter speed. So is D70/s so that is why d40 is a beauty

This guy is RIGHT ! CANON 350D, 550D  & NIKON D40 & D90 ...are the best ever cameras .I had all of them . 350d? aprox 2000 shoots with one battery ... 550d? first Canon with excelent video HD ... D40 ? amazing the same as D90 ...I still have them even today ..  I use Canon 550D and Nikon d7000  ! Why should I buy a d600 with 2000 $, when a D7000 is around 550 - 600 $, and I  own the best DX ever ? ( 17-55 f:2.8, 18-200 VR  ) ?

the Nikon d40 has only 6 MPx sensor. i presume you thought of the d40X who in fact has a 10 MPx sensor..

Photography is such an exciting thing to get into! I had a problem figuring where to start just like you. I only started myself about 8-9 months ago, but I am sure glad I got into it. My friend referred me to whatcameraisbest.blogspot.com and they had a good list of the best cameras of 2013 and that really helped get me pointed in the right direction.
