I'm not a doctor but someone who has gone through some of the same things you are going through, (foot drop -very weird to have it happen, stabbing pins and needles, and sciatica)
Here are some of things that worked for me:
1. I did NOT take a multi-vitamin; only the direct vitamin/mineral that I needed because multi-vitamin tends to have fillers and lower dosage amounts.
2. I initially started taking a high dosage (15, 000 I.U.) of Vitamin D3 daily and really was feeling GREAT benefits from this high dosage amount. I now take (40, 000 I.U.) of Vitamin D3 daily because I have Celiac Disease. Since taking a high dosage of Vitamin D3 for several years now I have NOT had ANY bad side effects whatsoever.
3. If you do take the high dosage amount of Vit. D3 make sure you ALSO take (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90 mcg daily as this will help the Vit. D3 get directly into your bones.
4. I also take (1) Magnesium Malate 425 mg daily as this will also help with bone health, among the MANY other benefits to taking Magnesium.
These three are a good BASIC vitamins for good health in YOUR health journey.
I do hope you get to better health soon. take care.

@Tilly girl

thank you for sharing your knowledge and valuable health information..
I was recently diagnosed on March 29, 2023 by the ER doctor as I went there because of stabbing and burning in my left leg)
My PCP was clueless after years of vague symptoms progressively getting worse.
At my 2nd visit to the neurologist today, he has increased my GABAPENTIN to 300 mg from 100 mg.
I’m finally going to get an MRI of my LS Spine. Left leg numb, pins and needles, right a little less .
Right arm,
down to my hands)
numb pins and needles starting from my neck.
Walking down stairs is very painful and slow.
all I want to do is sleep.
I’m going to ask my PCP for a prior authorization from my insurance for massage- and/ or acupressure .
Insurance doesn’t pay for it.
( just no fault or work comp insurance)
working on buying a juicer and I am never going to give up on my journey to reverse this neuropathy!

God bless you and all your wisdom helping others in the same struggle to feel better!

Thank you ! I had foot drop 6 months ago and I went to every type of specialist doctor you can think of what really helped me was self PT and taking multi vitamin D vitamin B complex magnesium G, and alpha lipoic acid. I have no idea how these nerve damage started . It was thought i had issues with my L4 L5 S1 as I could not do anything with my foot over time I was able to walk straight I got my big toe to work again and my small toes a tiny bit . Although i had huge amounts of pain sharp stabbing pins and needles . Now I rarely get those pains and I have no feeling to hot or cold water up to my ankle which I recently just broke, it set me back but I’ve heard nerves will heal up to 1 year and I’ve also heard they have up to 2 years . After about 8 hours of work I would start limping again but it was mostly good I just couldn’t run well at all I tried and tried but my muscles don’t seem to want to grow tomorrow I’m going to buy a tens unit for E stem while my ankle is broken I’m still doing what ever PT I can other then dorsiflex because I’m in a cast but I’m working on my toes doing leg raises and cat camels and also push up leaving my hips on the ground .because although it’s most likely the peroneal nerve I still had signs of sciatica. Any thoughts ?! I’m in desperate need of an opinion more than advise thank you so much ! Subbed !

This evil disease isn't just about pain, and it sure isn't just about the feet.
(I don't take drugs. My horrific neuropathy is from Clonazepam)

"Get rid of the pain"? Let's just get rid of the problem, Alpha Lipoic acid, Benfotiamine, Ceylon cinnamon, Nattokinase, garlic....Foot massager...

I find some pain relief by soaking both feet in ice cold water for 5 min. But it's short lived relief.
