I'm 73yrs. of age and been playing guitar since I was 12. Still want to learn how to do blues riffs & licks I did not know how the pentatonic scale worked until I just watched you on this video. You are very easy to understand in with the way you show the charts I really like that.

You, Sir, have put hours guitar lessons into a 9 minute video, effectively showing a way to play solos even for beginners just with very little playing experience and music theory. Sincere congratulations!

I have been playing 65 years. Your demonstration is the most easy to understand while propelling the next generation of players. Bravo!

I am 75. I played in a band in the sixties, but i sold my guitar about 30 years ago. I suprised myself in this january a new guitar, and began to learn and play again. This video and this guy is phantastic. It is easy to understand and play together. Welcome all guitarist in my age, and the younger and older too.

As a beginner who watch countless videos, this is the first time I felt “I understand what is explained and I can confidently start practicing”

🙏 thank you

You are the kind of teacher who inject to the student fun and passion for the guitar, not boredom and frustration. Thanks!

I am 74 years old and a huge Santana fan. I have been playing guitar since I was 14 years old. I have memorized a ton of licks. But you, my friend, have given me the key to unlock my true music potential. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is really teaching, not showing off. Thanks for the great tutorials.

This was the most simple to understand lesson on lead that I have ever seen. Thank you. I got a lot out of this video! 👍😎🎸

I have been stuck for 25 years until I watched this video. I mean, I threw on a backing blues track in A-minor and can all of a sudden play a simple lead improvisation. I'm kind of blown away.

Seriously. this is the coolest, as in ‘self contained’ lesson I have ever seen on any subject on youtube. Your musicality is evident, not via histrionic promises, but in the way you do it. Great playing, even greater teaching ability. You sir, are cool as fuck. … Furthermore, these are first rate, inspiring lessons, that are so generous as to make other teachers seem jealous of their student’s potential. I’ve been gigging for over 35 years and always searching for tips and tricks to improve my chops, so to this end, I can’t thank you enough.

I have been picking for around 40 years and this is the most common sense, understandable approach to the Pentatonic scale I have seen. Outstanding! Enjoyed the video and will practice even harder now. ( and may even understand what I'm doing)

Thank you Jules. I have been trying to learn to solo for literally decades. Watching your videos has improved my understanding and practice of this dark art immensely.
Cheers mate, and thanks for taking the time and effort to make such great content.
Best wishes.

This is probably the most practical out of the box way of doing pentatonic scale leads.
Knowing the 5 boxes is great, but too many people kinda find a box and stay in it. Even as simple as this shape is, it sounds more interesting because of the movement up the neck.
Well done. Great advice for newer players or those who haven't dabbled a ton in pentatonic scales before.

Great job - someone who can play AND teach, in a really clear and simple way.

67 year old beginner. Started watching youtube guitar videos and have learned a lot. But, this was by far the best explanation of pentatonic boxes and moving them around the neck. Thank You!!!
