Couple Recoveries With Mini-Mater

Had to run out and pull a Toyota 4runner off Hells Revenge Trail. He had broken the rear ring and pinion. So he could still have the engine running and have steering and brakes. So it went fairly well. Then we ran out to Golden Spike to get a Jeep having issues with the power steering pump. We got up there after struggling on the slick rock on Rusty Nail Trail. Once there we filled up the power steering reservoir and it seemed to be doing ok. We made it about 1/2 a mile when the pump squeaked so we stopped to check it. It was leaking right out of the pump shaft seal. So we said oh well and began to pull it out. We had to have Mike help out on the Gold Bar Waterfall obstacle, but other than that things went great. All in all I'm happy with how Mini is working right now. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I can only imagine how fresh and clean the dessert must smell after a rain/snow storm which you experienced during the white jeep recovery.... Your so very fortunate to be able to do your work in such a beautiful country.... My uncle had a sheep ranch in a high dessert area of South East Idaho.... I was there a few times when it rained and I have my memories....

Really digging that Plexiglass roof panel. Lots of light in the truck cabin. I hope it won't be too hot in the summer.
The beautiful vista's in the sunlight give way to ominous wet, slippery obstacles in this damp weather. Trail Mater mini is keeping it real.

I'm torn between 'Mini Mater' or 'Mater Tot'. Both are solid names. 👍🏼And like others have mentioned, I appreciate that Rory and the Boys didn't turn the build into a months-long extravaganza.
