Everyone here discussing Errors, but I’d like to point out another element that some have forgotten, RESET.
As Resets happened, everyone loses memories of what happened in previous runs. Except this time, a person remembers, and it breaks the timeline. Sans.
This factor alone draws XGaster’s attention, and is one of the inspiration towards his perfected universe, and proving it by taking over the glitched timeline.
Therefore Frisk is in a difficult position (as shown in previous eps), as they might need to reveal the truth of the attack, the truth about this timeline, therefore “curing” the “amnesia”.
Which is probably why XG’s motif is at the end. It’s probably what he has anticipated, and everything has been playing into his hands.

I have a theory, this name and the music by itself just gave me lot more sure that this theory i've been thinking for a while was right. If you don't know, Geno sans has some powers that permit him to manipulate memories, he can erase or modify them, so maybe he's going to bring someone's memories back, like unlocking them, these memories can be about something really important, maybe the memories belong to Cross but i'm still not sure. But i also remember Epic mentioning about memories of cross that only XGaster had access or something like that, BUT TRUST ME, ALL THE DOTS ARE CONECTING!

The way the song faints in - It's a flashback, isn't it? I'm pretty certain about that.
It could be about any character, really, maybe this one doesn't have anything to do with Geno and Error-

Maybe it has something to do with Ink? Even though both Ink and Error have horrible memories, Ink is tge one known for it-

Theory time:
Now, what is amnesia, and why do we need a cure?
Memory. Loss.
Now, is there a character, who experienced some kind of memory loss?
Error. He lost every memory about being Geno, etc.
What if, Fatal_Error or XGaster reminds him of all of that, and that is what is meant by "a cure for amnesia"?
There is another posibility, remember Fatal_Error's theme? SEG_FAULT, like someone said, it is when a file is forgotten or smth.
So maybe, Fatal_Error in Underverse forgot aswell?

The title brings me to Geno or ink, but The ending has that xgaster motif, so honestly this is pretty interesting..

XGaster used the [OVERWRITE] Button on Error recovering his memories of how he came to be and probably Error starting to have regrets on his decisions and actions...

Oh god Fatal error coming lets goo boyss. When geno soul got corrupted by error and turned into fatal he lost a bunch of memories, even some of papyrus

As far as I can see, no one has theorized about Ink, so although I'm not sure, I have a theory;
You know, Ink has forgetfulness. Like something amnesia. Maybe something can be said about him. Can XGaster help with the memories of Ink, or someone else? I'm not sure. but at 0.7 they were given spoilers that Ink would die. I hope İnk wouldn't be die. :(
