Tera is PC MMORPG released in the west in May of 2012 and for the last 10 years many MMORPG players have enjoy in this beautiful game, but sadly today we have get official announcement from Gameforge, last publisher of this game that they are shutting down servers of Tera on June, 30th, 2022. Lets check official post regarding shut down of this game and lets see reasons behind this decision which will make many MMORPG players to remember with joy early golden days of Tera when this game was very popular and played. I played Tera during launch. The game was absolutelly amazing in every aspect. There were a few bugs here and there but still it was no big deal. The main thing that put me off was the absence of the faction system and also world pvp. You had to activate pvp status, and there was nothing to be gained from that, and everyone came to attack you if you did. Basically pvp was not very encouraged, and that rub me off the wrong way since I used to play Aion a lot. Other than that, an absolutelly fantastic game, when I first played it. I think many of its mechanics coud easily be an inspiration for a more modern and sophisticated mmorpg, with a bit more of pvp focus and more carefull management.

i think its just right its been a ghost town for some years now and the game change beyong recognisable point imo. its good we need let go of the past and clear the path to new generation of anime action style games.

I dont know why they didnt just rerolled back to guardian system when shit was going down every patch after, now they are forced to shutdown cause it just kept getting emptied, I watch how bad it kept going from anni, soul to the other one and the last one.

TERA has more players on steam than Elyon (by couple few) and both have more than x3 the player base of Archage unchained
Aion has half what tera got, My god non of these games have anyone playing em! Bless Unleached has more players then all of those combined and that's a dead MMO

Tried several times over the years never liked it, Bad level design, awful questing, outdated graphics, forces you play the little gal race, as for combat it was sh!t no where near as good as people claim it to be, trash, Raiders of Icarus had better combat and that was a sh!t combat on top of being tab target (Not praising Icarus)
