If you have a calculator and trying to figure out intercept and stuff press stat then input the numbers for x and y then stat again slide over to calc and press 4 for linReg then calculate and that will give you your slope and y intercept

im trying to do practise questions for my psychology exam and I've been struggling with this question extremely

' researcher obtains a correlation r of -0.1638 between two variables x and y. The
standard deviation of x was the same as the standard deviation of y. Do you have enough
information to calculate the slope of the regression line? If so what is the slope? If not
what additional information would you need?'

you spoke a lot about how adding a point pulls the line, you should concentrate on how those slope, intercept, correlation are calculated. #Suggestion
