I think some referees make up their mind and when watching the replay confirmation bias prevents them from accepting what their eyes are seeing! As an All Black fan my own confirmation bias told me the referee in Bledisloe 2 was favouring the team in possession. Therefore in the first half Wallabies got 50/50 decisions and then he switched around in the 2nd half when the All Blacks had the ball. However in the 2nd half I could have sworn Jordan was tackled high around the neck while returning a kick right in front of the referee and he did nothing?

Time to stop blaming refs and time to start blaming players' discipline. Refs don't control the laws, they just enforce them. Labuschagne's head never tucked into alignment with his shoulder and there was direct contact to Botitu's head with force. It's a clear red card according to the laws. Also, the TMO bunker is only in use for the Summer Nations series... 😅
