Americans stay home for July 4 weekend as coronavirus cases skyrocket

The number of coronavirus cases is skyrocketing again, forcing unprecedented restrictions on holiday gatherings. Along America's sandy shores, world famous beaches are closed and hand sanitizer and face masks are encouraged. Janet Shamlian reports.

This is NOT true. Are you kidding me? I’m from the Bay Area California San Francisco and today we were stuck in traffic for 2 hrs bc everyone is out and about. And no cases aren’t skyrocketing. There’s just more detection of dormant symptoms. Stanford healthcare cut wages and hours of all employees including doctors during the start in March bc there was NO business NO patients. Now employees got a letter to resume full time bc covid is under control and we are now at the stage of testing and identifying so the danger is a lot less. We are to resume full time and take patients as usual starting next week. Healthcare all across the Bay Area is like this so tell me why real life is different than what you’re reporting?
