Just to let you know, Leisa ... you are loved and appreciated!

I love the comment - it’s more dangerous to get in your car and go to work. Never heard this before. Good comparison.

Pertaining to siphoning I heard tipping the jar while removing it from the canner can cause that as well. I've seen youtubers do that very thing. I also saw one tighten the lids too much (and I knew what was going to happen) and sure enough half of the lids buckled. Thank you for providing us with correct information, it's truly appreciated!!

So my sister and I are just getting started. I had been putting up some jars over the past years and when we pulled out the “stash”, found small jelly jars filled 2006 with strawberry jame. Ummm, out of sight is completely out of mind, so all that got pitched, reclaimed the jars and ready to get started again. But we had lots of laughs. So we’re completely catching up on your videos.

I just bought a jigger directly from Presto. It came in 3 or 4 days.

I love these videos. I started pressure canning last year and couldn’t find any canner anywhere for months. Finally found one with no gauge, just a juggler. Took awhile to figure out proper temp, etc. Should have come here first! Would have saved me lots of headaches. Thanks for all your help!

I pour olive oil over whole garlic and pop in the fridge.

Love your canning chats. I’ve been canning for only a year, and I learned SO MUCH from you! Oddly enough, the first thing I ever canned was corned beef, and all because of one of your videos. ❤️

My local Amish store has 1 puece lids. Can you tell me if you use these the same as the 2 piece lids? Do they have to be heated in water? Any tips I need to know about using these? How do I know if they seal? How do I know if seal has failed?

It is okay. The tint on your glasses makes you look like you are wearing eye shadow. 🙂

I do use my pressure canner rack in my Ball Waterbath Canner. The rack that comes with it is super flimsy. I also will use extra empty jars to fill up space if I’m only canning a single jam batch in half pints.

My in-laws are shocked I would eat anything that was canned and not boiled for 20 minutes. They were just raised believing that's how you killed botulism. I cannot convince them that that's why I can it... to kill the botulism.

Great questions again! Mud brooker has a very good video on how to keep your pressure canner pressure. He has a very calming voice and great explanation how to manage your pressure. He sure did help me on my first canning session. Thanks Leisa

I can on an electric stove and when pressure gets to 9 psi I set my temp to 4 1/2 (on my stove) and it will maintain 11 psi. I do check it often too make sure it stays at pressure. Since I figured out this setting it has never failed. Lisa I love your videos and this canning chat is really fantastic. You have answered questions I didn't know I had. Thanks for you and your channel.

You're delightful and a great host! Thank you for all your videos. I've learned so much! 😊 I recently got a Presto digital canner and would be curious of your thoughts, if you have any or know much about it. So far it seems to work beautifully, though Rose Red Homestead recently did a post that makes me slightly more skeptical...
