I think there has been some misunderstanding about this video here, so just wanted to clear things up.

1) The "Good Looking" guy is actually my husband. So yes, we do have his constent to film
2) Not trying to point out who's right or wrong. That's why it's written "Japanese way". Just wanted to show how Japanese would do it.

I'm sure each culture has its own unique way of eating their local dishes. Some uses hands, some uses chopsticks. As a local, it's just easy to spot if someone who's not from around the area. No judging :) Japanese people do respect when foreigners come and visit our country too.

That said, I hope you still enjoy watching our videos and thanks for always supporting our channel! So do follow us if you want to see more content on the differences in cultures.

When I first solo traveled to Japan, I went to a local restaurant and asked for a spoon to drink miso soup. The staff was so confused and after a while struggling explaining to him he brought out a plastic foldable spoon from an instant noodle cup 😅

Depends on what I’m eating when in Japan but generally I do as custom and Japanese do. I feel following their lead with dining has always given me the best experience best pleasure and flavors. Just me.

we people from Southeast Asia are also doing that as well and its more appropriate to sip a soup using spoon rather than a whole bowl or else people might ask you if you're really that thirsty to soup or ask you why drink on a bowl itself if there's a spoon beside you because that's the purpose of spoon

Actually, as a Chinese, I was taught that holding up your bowl to drink from it was really rude 😅 but it's super interesting the see how diff Asian cultures eat!
