GoPro Hero 10 Black review: 4K 120FPS, and better quality

The GoPro Hero 9 was a big change, with a front screen, and a redesigned body. The Hero 10 doesn't change much much on the outside, (which is a relief, it can still use Hero 9 accessories), but the new GPT processor and an upgraded 23MP sensor means the Hero 10 has improved stabilization, can shoot 4K 120FPS or 2.7K 240fps slowmo, or an impressive 5K at 60FPS, and has improved sharpness, color, and exposure. The one downside, your battery will drain quicker capturing all those frames.

I'm not really sure about previous cameras, but I use USB-drive feature shown at 5:22 on my HERO 8 right now. It's not new to 10 at all.

On paper seems great but the Hero 9 is nothing but a problematic camera, with features that don’t work freezing up, not recording. I can just imagine what 4k 120 is going to cause to this camera

I got this Hero 10 and am pretty mad right now. My Hero 4 cams can give me 4k vid no problem, when I transfer 4k from the BRAND NEW Hero 10, they won't play and my video editor I've been using for years with TACTACAMS and HERO 4's won't either...even though it works fine with 4k from the 4's and tactacams. WTH GOPRO? For $400 this damn thing ought to work right out of the box!

I'll wait and see what the do on the 11, not seeing it worth the upgrade compared to my 9. Battery life is a big factor for me.

Why they are doing the same as iphone, those feature were around for sure since gopro 8, but we are just being feed like q bird little by little.
I have not gotten a gopro since session 5.

4K 120FPS and wire direct transmission are the two technical features which most of the action shooting and video editing need pretty much.

Thanks for this review. Strange to see València in the footage, with the locations around my place. Gopro10 may have improved the image quality, but there is this super-compressed look that is really not meant for me. I feel that aside the small sensor limitations, the compression destroys the image.

Nice preview. I'm interested in seeing the new DJI Osmo Action if and when they release it. I have seen the leaked photos. But I can't trust those! If it's half as good as the original was at the time Go Pro will be in big trouble. Early firmware updates solved the early issues. Although the blind brand faithful will never switch.

I'm very happy with my Osmo. So if DJI make a balls of any updated version I will just stick with it.
