Here is my exposition: Jesus knows Satan that he believes in one God and even trembles when he hears it but he don’t take heed. Believe in Jesus as our saviour in the apostles creed or the Niceness creed. Salvation is a free gift and it is open for all as it was given as a grace to be receive through our faith. Just remember though that this is a free gift, Eph. 2:8-9. Therefore, It’s either we receive it or forfeit it, it’s our choice. God is not forcing anyone to be saved. Like Satan he believes that there is one God, he even trembles although he don’t believe that Jesus is the son of God. During the testing of Jesus, Satan said, “If you are the son of God turn the stone into bread.” He is trying to prove what is already been proven. Like many here of us they don’t accept Jesus as the son. To him Jesus cannot be a God because, God cannot bear a son since he got no wife. Well an intrigue of course. There are many skeptics snd many ideas that are not true. God knows better than that and to God, there is nothing impossible. Going back to that precious grace of God, it is possible for those who have not have faith not to receive it. For those who thinks they have faith, they could still lost it. For those who have an expectant faith, faith that is not dead and it is according to the word of God, the grace remains and they have receive the salvation through faith. If there faith can be considered by God as righteous. They have been justified by Jesus’ works in the cross. He took our sinful place do that we can be reconciled to God. So they are followers already. The question is, could they still list their salvation? The answer is “Yes”. How? If they don’t like to be change to become the children of God. They will not be justified. Simple but that is where the word of God comes into effect. Pa. 119:9. Jesus already existed before the world began, So no one will be confused. Satan will try to oppose Jesus but what can a defeated foe do? Nothing, but just yo deceive Jesus’ followers so when and if they believe his lies, they will remain to be lost or they will be lost if they don’t take heed his word, Eph. 119:9. In Heb. 6:4-6, it tells us that believers or Christians can still forfeit the salvation that is given by God for free if we fell away from the grace. It means, if we don’t take heed, or adhere to the word of Jesus fully, or if we don’t abide by his commands to love him, John 15:15, we could also be list even if we continue to dwell in our hatred if others. Hod is perfect snd in him there is no imperfection. amen. For if we fell away after we have been baptised into his death, it is impossible for us to be renewed again into repentance. So we continue to crucify Jesus and put him yo an open shame to God. There is only one baptism according to Jesus in Matthew 28:18-23. If we believe in Jesus, we have to accept his words in Jn. 6:51-56. This is a life giving obedience to the word of God. If we don’t receive him in the bread snd wine there is no life in us. Remember this Holy Eucharist is only administered in the blessed sacrament officiated by the ordained priest of the apostolic church. There is only one church but this one. Jesus appointment to Peter us irrevocable as Jesus said, “I’ll be with you up to the end of ages.” Matt. 28. So we cannot follow Jesus if we Disobey his words. His words are true and they are like a double edge sword that can penetrate our bone and morrow. Disobedience means to defy or to opposed a command. We know if we obey him it’s because we live him and all will know that we are his disciples, Amen. As a disciple of Jesus, be aware that we have to bear fruit which means no one comes back to him empty handed. In the last days we will face him snd we will take our rewards or receive the recommence of what we have done. Heb. 5:11/ Eph. 2:1/ 2 Pet. 2:22. 1 Co. 3:11/ Heb. 6:6.
Therefore, Luke 22:32, Jesus is praying for us that our faith may not fail.
