I use my IC-705 every single day. It's the only HF radio I own, and also use it to rag-chew on the 2m repeaters. It would be incredibly hard for me to switch, but I certainly welcome the competition! Dual receivers are nice...but in my opinion, 2x of something means it likely won't be as high of quality as 1x of something. Gotta compromise somewhere, or this would be a heavy brick and have a $3000 price tag!

One of these days I’ll get a chance to enjoy a base station like these. Both very solid radios and great options. Yaesu’s menu systems have left something to be desired, but if you can get around to learning those, Yaesu is very good.

My only experience is with the FT-891 and Xiegu G90.

Looking to learning more, just got my Extra last year.

Cheers and 73, I’m clicking that sub button! - KF0QNM

Im waiting for the Yaesu. I have a ft450d at home. And ft818nd for POTA. I have had two, too many Icom radios. Never again. 73 POTA on folks.

I do a lot of SWL and MW DX'ing so the receiver is very important to me. I wonder how it stacks up to the Elad duo?

Your video was ok, but id rather see you have both the radios in hand, rather than a pic online. Its hard to review a radio that you haven't operated.

On paper...
The FTX-1F should blow the IC-705 out of the water if based on FT-710 type SDR Platform.
But until it actually arrives... Pure speculation
The Dual RX with "2" Antenna sockets alone is a Game Changer
