Heresy is not simply an error. It’s an error so serious that it would deprive one of salvation. From one of our live Ask Ligonier events, W. Robert Godfrey defines heresy.

0:13 - This definitely fits Calvinism perfectly with all it’s talk about non-elect and reprobate and that the atonement was *limited*

How do you define heresy? Most protestants: any teaching that does not agree with my personal understanding of Scripture.

It's so very sad, we have come back full circle and Pelagianism is prevailing in the pulpits.

Can someone tell me if the false doctrine of full preterism would be a damnable heresy? I feel that it is because it denies the Second Coming of Christ and a future judgment, and that death is the last enemy to be conquered, etc. Thanks for any thoughts.

You're a sinner in need of a savior

Jesus Christ is waiting

Today is the day of salvation

Jesus lives

Jesus Christ is Lord

Jesus loves you repent

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 5:24

I don't use the word "Heresy" because it means "Choice" and stems from the Catholic understanding that you cannot deviate from the "church's" (that is the whore of Revelation 17) teaches. I'll use error, false teaching, or false prophecy when appropriate
