Okay but actually this looks like The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. Sponging is definitely a no go lol, but with the right nail art this could look so cool. I see potential and think I want it for a museum day 💅

With polishes like this I always use a stubby, thin brush dipped in nail polish remover to go over the dots/sparkles and remove the polish from their tops as much as I can. It's definitely a *process*, and I do often need to go in with the same brush dipped in the nail polish to touch up around the dots/glitter where I mighta remover too much polish.

I LOVE this yellow nail polish and I'd love to see my process done on it! I bet it would look super cool. 💛

May I suggest putting it into a nail stamp (like those ones you use for grabbing patterns), letting it dry then applying it bottoms up? Like it's a nail sticker or those nail print things that come with a pattern ready an you apply on top of the nail. Cause if the problem is that the glitters are sinking, this might help.

Honestly, if it was a separate polish of gold foil or shimmer, then have multicolored glitters of various shapes layered on top, it kinda reminds me of sparkly gemstones with golden coins, like a classic pirate's treasure look.

Bonus if its sold as a duo and called something like "Dont touch me' booty!"

I had a thought: use a bright yellow base and then either do a light layer of this, or pick out the glitters and individually place them.

Ooh another idea: use it as a beach and have a small corner with it and the rest as a ocean blue

I think it looks okay? I like yellow and ochre tones.
I rewatched the video, and the first layer of sponging looked way sparklier as well. Maybe try doing 1 layer of regular application and then do a light layer of sponging? You might like it better that way, or even just placing some of the glitter individually.

It looked fine on the sponge. Try with white basecoat or dark basecoat and only a light layer of this polish.
