The problem with being a yo-yo club is that when your yo-yo cycle ends it's usually because you're stuck in the championship. Happened to Watford, Norwich and West Brom. Very rarely do yo-yo teams end up solidified in the premiership

I loved Burnley when they had Dyche as manager. They were so scrappy, true Brexit FC. Heaton, Lowton, Ward, Defour, Barton, Arfield, Vokes, Barnes, Bardsley... Them finishing 7th in 2017/18 was incredible, I was rooting for them to qualify for Europa League.

I had no feelings towards Burnley until I started down the Vizeh rabbit hole. Now as long as they’re not playing my club I like to see them do well 🤷🏽‍♂️

Don’t hate Burnley at all. Respected them massively with Dyche. Didn’t agree with sacking him but don’t really see how they can be hated by outsiders. They’re just a plucky northern underdog club with some good loyal fans.

Burnley did amazingly well to get into the Prem under Dyche and earned a lot of respect. Down the line they are an example now that something has to change. Perhaps a club should only get maximum 3 years of parachute TV payments twice a decade. The advantage the club gets is simply vast over other Championship clubs.

As a Sheff u fan idk if I’m an expedition but idm Burnley. A decent club with a decent history. IMO it’s just a stigma around their style of play under Dyche (their most famous period recently) with the growth of the prem and everybody wanting to play “peps way”, big 6/premier league fans look down on it a bit.

Wow! We at Carlisle United ‘hated’ Burnley since 1982!

Incredible support in Division 4, back in the 1980’s! The huge support used to fascinate me as a kid.

I recall once a meaningless mid week fixture- 2000 Clarets travelled up the M6!

Who could honestly hate Burnley….I have a healthy respect and it’s so wonderful to see the good times returned to ‘Turf Moor’. That is the redemption arch for me!
